There are 2 main options:
Curbelo International Airport (Laguna del Sauce) located 20 kilometers from Punta del Este, is the closest one to La Pedrera.

The other option is the modern Carrasco International Airport, located on the border between Montevideo and Canelones to 238 km from La Pedrera.
Pluna Airlines and Aerolineas Argentinas have regular services to Montevideo, which can be combined with bus companies within the airport terminal.
To pick you up from the airport and take you directly to La Pedrera should make a phone call to the company COT and Cinsa. Schedules will being inform by phone.
Another possibility is to take a local bus route that will lead you to the Bus Terminal Tres Cruces where there are all companies that go to La Pedrera.

From Montevideo you may take the Route Interbalnearia to the junction with Route 9. Continue on Route 9 to the junction with Route 15 in Rocha. Go along Route 15 to the junction with Route 10 and follow this to get to La Pedrera.
From Brazil Take the route BR 471 to reach Chuy. From there, take Route 9 to Rocha, then you must take Route 15 and follow 20 miles to the junction that connects with Route 10 and continue until you reach La Pedrera.

The sea arrival from Argentina, could be through various first-tier companies, that have variety of prices and offers ferry service, passengers and vehicles transportation, having some of them Free Shop service on board.
Companies Buquebus, Ferryturismo, Colonia Express and Cacciola, have regular services linking Buenos Aires with Montevideo, Colonia del Sacramento,
and in high season with Piriápolis.
From Buenos Aires you can get bus services to Bus Terminal Tres Cruces in Montevideo and then direct services to La Pedrera.
We suggest the company Rutas del Sol, because its first output is at of 10:10 a.m., arriving directly to La Pedrera. You must tell the bus driver to stop at the entrance of Punta Rubia where there is the poster of Posada Hostel La Casa de la Luna. |
